The center was created with an international focus, bringing together researchers from other LaSallian and non-LaSallian universities. The research has an applied approach, not limited to pure or basic research. As a research center affiliated to LaSallian universities, the experience gained by day to day teaching enriches the research projects, in a similar manner the outputs of the research initiatives are directly applied to the courses and study programs. The main areas of research revolve around:
- New more effective teaching methods with the use of ICT.
- Internet tools for communication, collaboration and learning.
- Ubiquitous communication devices (PC, Mac, mobile, interactive TV, PDA, digital ink, consoles...).
- Assessment (models, automatisation and management)
