How large/small are classes?

How and when do I choose and academic plan (major)?
There are no majors but concentrations in finance, marketing, sports management and international relations. The degree you will obtain at the end of the fourth year is a Bachelor in Business Administration degree entitled “Graduate in Management of Business and Technology”.
Students must choose 3 electives related to Sports Management, International Relations, Marketing and Finance.
When do I register for classes?
New students will be automatically registered once they pay the 2000 euros to reserve their place.
Do I have to worry about classes filling up?
Eventually, we will but not at the moment.
Will I be taught by professors or teaching assistants?
By professors
What´s a typical class load?
The class load is measured by ECTS credits and the number of credits varies according to each course. You are expected to take 30 ECTS credits per semester and a total of 60 ECTS credits a year. This is equivalent to a workload of 40 hours per week.
The ECTS credit system a measure of the workload per class in the Bologna/European system. It includes not only class time but also hours dedicated to personal study, projects, teamwork… 1 ECTS is about 28-30 hours.
Do I have to take placement tests?
For the admission you must present your TOEFL scores. During the Welcome Week, you will be asked to take a Spanish and a Math placement test which it does not in any way affect your admission.
When do I get a BES LA SALLE email address?
After payment of 2,000 euro deposit .
What courses do I have to take my first year?
Can I graduate in four years?
Students complying with the normal academic pace and required homework and study should be able to finish in four years.
What´s the job placement like?
On the first day of the academic year, a job placement office representative will inform you of their services. Once they have your profile, and you need to find work, they will provide the necessary assistance.
I took college-level while I was in high schools. Do these count?
As long as they are certified as college level (signed by a University) and directly related to the course curriculum at BES La Salle, and if they are approved by the Academic Department, they will be validated.
In accordance with Bologna, BES La Salle:
RECOGNIZES University Credits (directly related to the field of study)
COVALIDATES Credits from Professional Formation Studies
TRANSFER Credits from other areas of study: Those students who have studied at another university but not completed a degree and have completed courses not related to the study area at BES La Salle will have those grades on their transcript. These grades will not count toward your BES La Salle Degree but will appear on your transcript as grades obtained from another University and for another degree. |
